What I really like about the 'Return To Play' system that Dave teaches in the Mentorship is how it's not rigid.
It’s a guidance versus something to follow as rote.
There are definite marker points that you want people to reach and it really allows you to think a lot more about it.
It’s not just a case of implement do this.
It's here is a process that I want you to follow, and I want you to think about what you're trying to achieve and it really helps you.
It helped me as a Therapist to have that guidance and then that gives you the confidence to develop your own approach.
The principles that Dave has been teaching through the whole Mentorship programme, such as the signposts that people need to achieve in order to get a really successful Return To Play.
At the same time, you're presented with a means to actually create a programme that is specific to the person that is in front of you rather a cookie-cutter approach to rehab...do that...do this, this, this and this.
It's more you need the person to be able to do these things.
I think it's a fantastic way of getting that across and developing confidence within the individual to really create a much more rounded programme for our clients.
